Jaguar
XJ travels more than 1,000 miles on one tank of fuel
A Jaguar XJ saloon has traveled the length of the UK on just one tank
of fuel - and then went on to top 1,000 miles in total.
The
luxury XJ TDVi completed the trip from John O'Groat's to Land's End -
a distance of 840 miles - with average fuel consumption of 53.5mpg. Having
reached Land's End, the driver headed back to Jaguar's Midlands HQ without
refueling and reached a total of 1000.2 miles before the tank ran dry.

At Nuremberg Jeremy Clarkson reported a sub 10 minutes lap in a Jaguar
S type twin turbo diesel. The success is due more to the power of the
Jaguar than Jeremy’s driving. He was coached by Sabine Schmitz; who
laps the difficult track 30 seconds faster than Jeremy. What this shows
beyond all doubt is that the Jaguar S type diesel is not only economical,
but a fast and powerful sports saloon.

Jaguar S-Type Diesel voted Best Executive Saloon by Top Gear Magazine
Jeremy Clarkson, host of BBC2's Top Gear and columnist for Top Gear Magazine
said: "It's the best handling and smoothest riding executive saloon
of them all. In an era of spine-breaking Audis and BMWs, Jaguar hasn't
forgotten that execs need cosseting at the end of a hard day. For our
brave and fearless businessmen up and down the land, the S-TYPE Diesel
really is the best."

Jaguar XJ diesel wins best luxury car in the 2006 Fleet World Honors.
