The
Jaguar Specialists announce the release of performance tunes
for Jaguar S, XJ and X Type diesel engines. Models covered are
X Type 2.0d, X Type 2.2td & XJ and S Type 2.7td. Rolling
road tests on the 2.0d engine indicate a 32 BHP increase at
4500 rpm a 36lbft increase in torque at 4000 rpm, with road
tests indicating a much smoother power delivery than in standard
tune.Comparison graphs can be viewed below, The tunes improve
on Jaguar's already adequate performance by reducing lag, by
providing a smoother power delivery and in certain circumstances,
an improvement in fuel economy.
2.7L
Diesel S-Type/XJ
Largest power increase is 64BHP @3750rpm
Maximum power increased to 268BHP
2.2L
Diesel X-Type
Largest power increase is 34BHP @3750rpm
Maximum power Increased to 185BHP
2.0L
Diesel X-Type
Largest power increase is 32BHP @4500 rpm
Maximum power increased to 163BHP
The tune is downloaded directly from our diagnostics to the
Engine Control Module (ECM) through the vehicle's diagnostic
connector. This means the ECM never needs to be removed from
the car and does not need to be opened up for the chip to be
changed or reprogrammed.
